How did you attract/address your audience?
My audience was attracted by using a young male as the model on the front cover, therefore straight away it would appeal to teenage males them selves. Then the vibrant colours helped attract the audience because they were very fluorescent and eye catching. Along with all his stuff, i added features such as free posters etc, these features are also in capitals so its easy to spot. One thing that is also essential is making your font understandable and easy to read, since my audience is quite young. The last thing you want is the audience having difficulty in reading it because then they wont read it. Following conventions of a magazine too, so it looks professional and to make the audience actually think that its a good magazine they're buying that's worth the money. On my front cover the image is really big, placed in the middle and staring right in front, as if its confronting you. I also made it so that it was relevant to the genre of the magazine to strictly attract an audience interested in dance music. I tried not to use the same font throughout the magazine, but didn't want to use too many different fonts therefore I made it have about 2 different fonts, used in different areas across the magazine. Keeping the same house style is essential too, all the pages must look asif they're related to each other and that they're from the same magazine, otherwise it isn't very professional. All of these things were done to mainly propose to a young, male audience but not strictly just males though, it may also have an interest in women too.
