While most celebs switch up their hair as often as they change their jeans, Justin Bieber has more or less stuck with the style that made him famous. Until now.
The pop superstar, 17, debuted a new grown-up ‘do -- spiky with lots of height -- on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday.
Dressed in head-to-toe black, the teenage heartthrob dished to Jay Leno about his new Christmas album, his Bat Mobile-inspired car and his latest fragrance Someday.
"[This fragrance] smells like heaven," he told the host, with a laugh. "It's got vanilla but it isn't too fruity. I thought that girls are going to like something that a guy will like, so I modeled it off of something I would like a girl to smell like."
The only other hair change we've seen from the star was when he traded his eyebrow-grazing man bangs for a more modern clean-cut look back in February, just weeks before his 17th birthday. Needless to say, the change was met with mixed emotions from his diehard fans.
And although he's given his signature "swoosh" the boot, Bieber’s hairstylist tells Us Weekly that the singer still relies on the same hair dryer to style his new textured look.
"Even though Justin's new haircut isn't as smooth as it used to be, it's still important that we use a good hair dryer," celeb stylist, Vanessa Price tells Us. "Justin always wants his hair to be perfect and that starts with a good quality blow dryer. Justin loves his Solano 3700 Moda Dryer ($220, solanopower.com)."
